Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)’s Centre for Online Education (COE) was established on June 7, 2019 vide notificationIG/Admn(c)/Not./ 2019/237 by renamingInter University Consortium (IUC) with approval of the Board of Management in the meeting held on May 05, 2019.

Vision:
The vision of the Centre for Online Education (COE) shall endeavor to make IGNOU a global leader in digital learning with world class technology enabled learning experiences and support services. The vision is to align with the nation’s digital initiatives to provide for affordable access to quality education through a virtual learning environment for anyone, anytime and anywhere.

Mission:
The Centre will support in the process improvement and service enhancement through automation and digitization in line with digital initiatives of the nation to provide high quality education to all at their doorsteps.

Objectives:

• To provide personalized, digitally connected, experiential learning to diverse groups of learners using the latest online technologies and pedagogies.
• To provide need-based online learning opportunities for continuous professional development and skill upgradation to in-service professionals.
• Strive towards continuous updation of learning technologies through research in and networking with other institutions working in the area of online/ virtual learning.
• To provide capacity building opportunities to all online education providers in the country.

To ensure quality assurance in design, development and implementation of online education matching the requirements of national and international standards

ABOUT

The genesis of Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) University dates back to October 5, 1984. IIHMR University has been established and incorporated as a postgraduate research university by the Government of Rajasthan vide the IIHMR University Jaipur Act, 2014 (Act No. 3, of 2014). The University is UGC recognized, and NAAC accredited and has a unique organizational culture that enshrines core values and ethos of autonomy, accountability, openness, and transparency.

IIHMR University has multi-disciplinary teams of faculty representing Public Health, Management, Economics, Statistics, Demography, and Social & Behavioral Sciences. The institution has an enabling environment for learning, professional growth and development. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India identified the university as an ‘Institute of Excellence’ for its significant contribution in training and capacity building.

ABOUT

The Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education (BOSSE), Sikkim, is an open schooling board that aims to cater to the varied academic needs of the divergent group of students up to pre-degree level including Secondary/Senior Secondary, skill and vocational education. BOSSE was established under Act No. 14 of 2020 of the Sikkim Legislative Assembly, passed on 21-09-2020, according to the Sikkim Act 2020 to promulgate and disseminate the open schooling education at state & national level. BOSSE has been granted Equivalence by AIU (Association of Indian Universities) and recognized by NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling), Ministry of Education, Govt. of India as an open schooling Board.

The Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education (BOSSE) aims to uplift and strengthen open schooling education and create pathways to higher studies across the nation With a flexible education system, combining academic and vocational programmes, the mission of BOSSE is to universalize education and establish equality and justice in society. It provides opportunities to interested learners to choose the following courses/ programmes through open and distance learning mode.
