What is the selection process for admission for MBA in Hospital and Health Management, MBA in Pharmaceutical Management and MBA in Development Management at IIHMR University?

Following are the selection process for admission for MBA in Hospital and Health Management, MBA in Pharmaceutical Management and MBA in Development Management at IIHMR University.

Stage – I: Short Listing

Candidates should have a valid score in IIHMR-UMAT /CAT/ XAT/NMAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA/ GMAT/ GPAT*.
Short-listed candidates will be informed through email/SMS to their registered email address and mobile number.

Stage – II: GD-PI Process

Short-listed candidates are invited to appear for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) through online mode. GD-PI will be conducted to assess the candidate’s learning aptitude, attitude, communication skills, and suitability for the University’s MBA program.

Final Selection

The following criteria will be used for the final selection of candidates:

Score obtained in (IIHMR UMAT/CAT/ XAT/NMAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA/ GMAT/ GPAT*).
Graduation Marks (Academic Performance)
Group Discussion

Personal Interview

*GPAT is admissible only for admission to MBA Pharmaceutical Management.

Will IIHMR University provide any scholarship in MBA in Hospital and Health Management, MBA in Pharmaceutical Management and MBA in Development Management?

Yes, the university will provide merit scholarship and different programs have different following eligibility criteria:

MBA in Hospital and Health Management

Total Number of Merit Scholarships Available: 45 Scholarships
Eligibility Criteria: The scholarship will be awarded to students based on meeting any one of the following eligibility criteria and on first come first serve:
55% or above aggregate marks in MBBS.
65% or above aggregate marks in BDS/ AYUSH.

80% or above aggregate marks in any other bachelor’s degree.

Amount of Scholarship: Rs.1,00,000 each student.

MBA in Pharmaceutical Management

The merit scholarships will be awarded to students applying for MBA PM as per the following details on meeting any one of the given eligibility criteria and score obtained in the admission process:

Total Number of Merit Scholarships Available: 30 Scholarships
Eligibility Criteria: The scholarship will be awarded to students based on meeting the following eligibility criteria and on first come first serve:
80% or above aggregate marks in bachelor’s degree.
Amount of Scholarship: Rs.1,00,000 each student

MBA in Development Management

The merit scholarships will be awarded to students applying for MBA DM as per the following details on meeting any one of the given eligibility criteria and score obtained in the admission process.

Total Number of Merit Scholarships Available: 20 Scholarships
Eligibility Criteria: The scholarship will be awarded to students based on meeting the following eligibility criteria and on first come first serve:
55% or above aggregate marks in bachelor’s degree.
Amount of Scholarship: Rs. 1,00,000 each student.

Is there any placement offered by IIHMR University?

No organization can guarantee placement but, yes, there is a placement cell with student members and a faculty coordinator. The cell organizes campus interviews and regularly updates the job opportunities. In the past almost all students have been placed as a result of campus interviews organized by the cell.

What are the eligibility criteria to study MBA (Hospital and Health Management), Pharmaceutical Management and Development Management in IIHMR University?

Following are the eligibility criteria to study MBA (Hospital and Health Management), Pharmaceutical Management and Development Management in IIHMR University:

A graduate from any discipline with 50% or above [45% or above for SC/ST/OBC/ EWS/ PwD] aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.
Candidates in the final year of the bachelor’s degree may also apply if they would furnish evidence of meeting the minimum eligibility criteria by September 2023.

What are the eligibility criteria for MHA (Executive) program?

The eligibility criteria for MHA (Executive) program is learner should be graduates in Medicine (MBBS), Dentistry (BDS), AYUSH (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery (BUMS), Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS), Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), B. Tech. or BE (Any Branch)/Graduates of four- year degree programmes in Veterinary Sciences, Nursing Sciences, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy/Graduates of three-year degree programme /postgraduate degree in Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Biostatistics/Demography/Population Studies/Nutrition/Economics/Psychology/Sociology/Anthropology/Social Work/Management/Commerce with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and for candidates belonging to reserved category, there is a relaxation of 5% marks i.e. 45% marks in aggregate will be considered.

Or,

Post Graduate with minimum of 50% aggregate marks are exempted from requirement of minimum 50% aggregate marks in graduate degree.

What is the work experience required for MHA (Executive) program at IIHMR University?

At least 3 years of work experience in Healthcare or related field is required to enroll in MHA (Executive) program at IIHMR University.

What is the selection process for MHA (Executive) program at IIHMR University?

The selection processes for MHA (Executive) program at IIHMR University are as follows:

Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can apply by filling the application form.
Candidates will be assessed based on the information provided in the application form and shortlisted for the interview process.
Candidates invited for the Interview will be intimated about the venue, mode of interview (online/offline) and the time slot through e-mail / telephone.
The selection process includes Personal Interview, apart from screening for academic performance and quality of work experience.
Clarity of purpose in pursuing executive management education as evidenced by performance interview and overall assessment of academic achievements will be the basis of final selection.

What is the eligibility criterion for MPH (Executive) program?

Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS), Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), B. Will the University conduct UMAT and GD PI exams?

Yes, the university will conduct UMAT and GD PI exams and IIHMRU-MAT will be conducted through online mode on the first, third, and fifth Saturdays of every month starting from November 2022 and GD-PI will be conducted through online mode on the first, third, and fifth Saturdays of every month starting from January 2023.
