Post Graduate Diploma in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (PGDDRRM)

A New Programme, PGDDRRM is intended to enhance the career prospects of learners/students; and make the nation more safer and resilient to disasters. As the increased exposure to both natural and human-induced hazards poses a threat to lives and sustainable development, therefore Curriculum of PGDDRRM has been developed accordingly, which is as per the National Education Policy, 2020.

Eligibility: Bachelor‘s Degree in any discipline.

Medium of Instruction: English

Minimum Duration – 1 year

Maximum Duration – 3 years

  • Graduate in any discipline from IGNOU recognized University.

Examination:

The examination is conducted physically by IGNOU in Nepal under the supervision of “The Embassy of India” in Kathmandu and Biratnagar.

Evaluation:

The evaluation system of IGNOU is based upon the ‘Assignment’, ‘Term End Examination’ and ‘Project Work’. Assignment marks will carry 30% and Term End Examination marks will carry 70% weightage in the Final Grade Card.
